Follow Up Is Key . . . At Least 7 Times!

In this day and age, it's simply not enough to call on someone and make a presentation. If you don't follow up at least 7 times, you are wasting your time, as well as theirs. The more time you put into getting to know your potential customers, the better your relationship will be.

Because of that, you need to follow up after a presentation, at least 7 times, and sometimes longer. Here you'll find some creative ideas to follow up that will be sure to impress anyone.

1. Your first follow up should be a hand written note, thanking them for their time. Use a nice card, embossed with your logo, if you want, or just a simple "Thank You" card available anywhere.

2. Second, find some "Cheese Straws" at a specialty store, and send it with a note saying: "Grasping at straws to find the perfect solution to...(include a problem you can solve for them)? We can help! This is not only a cleverly worded reminder of your presentation, but something for them to taste and remember you by.

3. Rolodex cards are excellent reminders: include a note that says: "We are always at your fingertips when you need us!" Make sure your rolodex card has the little tab at the top with either your name, or the biggest benefit of using your services: this will make it stand out from the others cards in the file.

4. Next, send a bag of popcorn with a note saying: "Just popping in to remind you that we can.... " (mention one of the benefits of using your services or products).

5. A coffee mug imprinted with your logo, and filled with some coffee packets and even a cookie could be next: this will remind them of your visit every time they enjoy their coffee.

6. A seed packet with this message: "We would love to help you grow your business" is another original idea that will leave a great impression.

7. Chocolate business cards will be a tasty reminder of your services. This one may be a little more expensive, but well worth the cost. You'll need to pay for a plate with your logo, but it's a one time cost that will pay you many times over. The chocolate business cards are a great conversation starter, and something that will separate you from your competition.

These are just a few ideas: there are many more ways to keep your name in front of your potential clientele. And to keep track of what you did, create a folder for each presentation and set up your follow-ups before you even go to your presentation.

You are now on your way to success: good luck with your next presentation!

Teleconferencing

Teleconferencing:
If you want to see how it works, you can schedule a call with your group at a certain time. You dial the number they give you when you sign up: The use of the conference line is free, but to call the number is whatever it costs you to call a long distance number from your phone (home phone, work phone, or cell). Most people have long distance service for 5cents/minute or less. Say you have a 30 minute meeting at 5cents/minute . . . . $1.50 to not have to get out of bed, get dressed and drive to a meeting . . . and what about the savings in gas?

Anyway, you dial the number:
(you recieve it when you sign up for a free account)
and when you hear the prompts to
enter your access code . . .
You dial:
(you recieve it when you sign up for a free account)
It will ask you to confirm your code, and then you will enter the conference.

You can sign up for your own free account at:
http://www.freeconference.com/

You can also inquire about a dedicated 800 line for everyone to call, and then you just get billed monthly for the use of the 800 # per person. They also have other paid services that many companies use.

And here is another company that offers various plans from free, to paid services, and even recording the calls, etc:

The Almighty Autoresponder

The Almighty Autoresponder

The autoresponder, also known as the auto email, mailbot, or email responder is an awesome tool for the online marketer or

business owner. It is an excellent promotional tool that saves time and frustration as it responds to messages with an automatic

response. It also serves as a way to gather new prospect names from those that sign up to receive your offers. It has to be the

number one tool used to build an online list of contacts . . . and we've heard numerous times how the list is the most important

thing to have to succeed in online business.

When setting up your autoresponder, make sure to have a section on your form to get a person's name and email address. You

at least need these to items in order to grow your list, keep in contact, offer valuable information, and make regular offers. Just

as it takes at least 7 times to notice the actual offer in commercials, the same holds true for offers on the internet.

There are a number of autoresponder services available. Some have monthly fees, some are free with their ads on the messages,
and there are a few that offer a free trial for a week to a month, and start a monthly fee. It is best to do a search for

"autoresponders", and see what is best for you. I did find one free autoresponder that doesn't have ads on the messages, but

the site is ad rich with popups and such that can easily distract the visitor from the free sign up.

Look for a future post from me that will give more information about autoresponders and my recommendations.

Necessary Tools For Your Sales

There are a number of tools that are necessary when you decide to do online sales.
There's tools for your website, tools for your sales process, tools for the marketing, tools for name capturing . . . and so on and so on.

The main tools that are going to be very beneficial to you and your business are the ones that offer creativity and uniqueness to your presence. These are the items that you can have total control over.

And the 4 things are:

Your Main Sales Page
Your Name Capture Page (also known as your "squeeze" page)
Your Download Page
Your Thank You Page

Start to think of how you can be creative with these particular tools, and think of making them a "set" with common theme of graphics and designs. Think of creating your "sets" for each product you decide to sell.

Tip:
Some people are so creative with these items,
that they have built a business around just doing that.
